(a) whether the Draught Animal Power Programmes proposed to be organized and co-ordinated through setting up of Centres for DAP;
(b) if so, the ground work has been laid for Centres of Animal Energy, for organising & co-ordinating such programmes;
(c) the steps taken to set up such centres; and
(d) the finance and infrastructure required for the said programme ?

(a), (b) & (c): No, Sir. The proposal for Animal Energy Centre(s) did not get cleared during the Seventh Five Year Plan period and was not included in the subsequent Eighth and Ninth Five Year Plans.
(d) : A budget provision of Rs.10.00 lakh is proposed for Animal Energy Programme for the year 2001-02.
