ANSWER
THE MINISTER OF STATE IN THE MINISTRY OF HEALTH AND
FAMILY WELFARE
(SHRI ASHWINI KUMAR CHOUBEY)
(a) & (b): Hospitalization cover under Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB-PMJAY) is available through empanelled hospitals. Both Public and Private hospitals have been empanelled under the scheme. As on 20.11.2019, 20,905 hospitals are empanelled. Out of these, 9,905 are private hospitals.

1392 treatment packages across 24 specialities and 1 unspecified package are available under AB-PMJAY. Inclusion of some of these procedures, which are also available under the National Health Programmes, in packages of AB-PMJAY facilitates the access of beneficiary to both public and private hospitals and also ensures quality of treatment.

The details of claim submitted by empanelled hospitals for treatment of AB-PMJAY beneficiaries State-wise as on 20.11.2019 is attached as Annexure.
