Question : TRANSFER OF AI REVENUE



(a) whether the Government have urged upon the Air India to surrender its revenue earned from commercial and royalty agreements to the Consolidated Fund of India;

(b) if so, the total amount of revenue being earned by the Air India therefrom annually;

(c) to what extent the profit of the Air India is to be affected by surrendering such revenue to the Consolidated Fund of India; and

(d) the stpes being taken by the Government to make up the deficiency in the earnings of the Air India?

(a) No, sir

(b) Air India earned nearly Rs. 144 crores from different types of commercial agreements including royalty during the year 2001-02. Their earnings on this account during 2002-03 are expected to be more than Rs. 180 crores.
