Question : PRADHAN MANTRI GRAM SADAK YOJANA

(a) the details of the different phases of works completed under the Pradhan Manlri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY), State-wise;

(b) the details of the projects which are lagging behind the schedule under the said scheme. State-wise and the reasons therefor,

(c) the amount of funds allocated, released and the expenditure incurred on each of the project under PMGSY during the last three years and the current year; State-wise:

(d) the number of new proposals received from various State Governments under the scheme. State-wise and the action taken thereon; and

(e) the steps taken by the Government to achieve the targets under PMGSY on time?

(a): The number of road works completed under radhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSDY) Stale-wise & Phase-wise are at Annexure-I.

(b)to(e): Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY) is an ongoing scheme. The responsibility of implementation of the scheme lies with the State Governments. The Scheme is being monitored through monthly, quarterly, half-yearly and annual progress reports from the States, Regional Review meetings and Performance Review Committee Meetings. A Statement showing the physical and financial progress made under the scheme Slate-wise is at Annexure-II. Funds under PMGSY are released to the State Rural Roads Development Agencies taking the State as a Unit. A Statement showing the funds release and expenditure incurred on road works during the last three years and the current year is at Annexure-III.
