Question : SCM Works in Udaipur

(a) the total amount of funds sanctioned for cleaning and development of the Ayad river in Udaipur under Smart City Mission (SCM);

(b) the details of the firms to whom work order has been issued along with the amount of funds involved in this regard;

(c) the amount of funds spent in this regard so far;

(d) the details of the works proposed in the projects to check pollution of the Ayad river and for its development along with the details of the said projects/ works;

(e) the details of works completed out of the proposed works along with the details of the works which are in progress; and

(f) the measures taken to check the discharge of sewage from the nearby areas, buildings, hotels and restaurants near the Ayad river?

(a) Udaipur Smart City has reported that they have sanctioned ? 75 crore for cleaning and development of five kilometer long stretch of Ayad River in Udaipur.



(b) & (c) The work order has been issued to M/s Jainco Nalwaya JV and the work order cost is ? 49.19 crore. So far, no funds have been spent for this project.

(d) to (f) Construction of channel for retaining water throughout the year and beautification of the banks with stone pitching and landscaping are important parts of the project. Laying of trunk sewer lines and construction of tapping structure is being executed currently, post which Udaipur Smart City will construct walkway over the trunk sewer lines being laid. The work of survey and design for preparation of working drawings has commenced.
