Question : SCHEMES FOR WELFARE OF WOMEN AND GIRLS



(a) the details of proposals sent by the Madhya Pradesh under the Centrally Sponsored Schemes for the protection, welfare and rehabilitation of women/girls during the three years and thereafter;

(b) the action being taken by the Government on the said proposals;

(c) the number of proposals cleared so far; and

(d) the time by which the remaining proposals are likely to be cleared?

THE MINISTER OF STATE IN THE MINISTRY OF HUMAN RESOURCE DEVELOPMENT (SHRIMATI KANTI SINGH):

(a) During the last three years, three proposals have been sent by Madhya Pradesh under Swadhar scheme and 103 proposals under Short Stay Home (SSH).

(b) The proposals under the scheme of Swadhar and Short Stay Home are placed before the Project Sanctioning Committee of the Department of Women & Child Development.

(c) 2 proposals of Swadhar and 19 under Short Stay Home were cleared by the Project Sanctioning Committee (PSC) of the Department of Women & Child Development.

(d) 1 proposal under Swadhar and 84 under Short Stay Home (SSH) have been referred back to State Government for attending to deficiencies. Hence no proposal is pending with Department of Women & Child Development.
