Question : Assistance to Small Entrepreneurs

(a) whether things made by small Indian entrepreneurs is costly as the same category of articles produced by China and if so, the details thereof;

(b) whether day to day used domestic products have not that finish as produced by China and if so, the details thereof;

(c) whether the Government proposes to help small entrepreneurs to compete with Chinese ones; and

(d) if so, the details thereof ?

(a) to (d): The prices and quality of different products differ in different countries and also change over time.

The Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises implements various schemes /programmes to support micro and small industries in order to enhance their competitiveness. These schemes/programmes include Credit Linked Capital Subsidy-Technology Upgradation Scheme (CLCS-TUS); Credit Guarantee Scheme; Credit Linked Capital subsidy Scheme; Cluster Development Programme; Public Procurement Policy for MSMEs and Market Development Assistance Scheme etc.
