Question : Setting up of University

(a) whether the Government has planned to set up institutions/universities like Institute for River Sciences for higher studies in the country;
(b) if so, the details thereof; and
(c) if not, the reasons therefor and the measures taken by the Government to improve river literacy and education?

(a)to (c): No Madam. At present, there is neither any proposal nor any request with the Ministry to set up River Sciences institute/university for higher studies.
