Question : RENEWABLE ENERGY PROJECTS IN PSES



(a) the number of Public Sector Enterprises (PSEs) which have set up or propose to set up renewable energy projects or are voluntarily obtaining renewable energy management programme for sustainable development;

(b) the details of other Heavy Industries where such a renewable energy management progra- mme was launched;

(c) whether the renewable energy generation is proposed only through solar system or is being relied upon other sources like Wind, Biomass, Biogas, etc. are also being adopted; and

(d) if so, the details thereof?

(a),(b),(c)&(d): During the course ofRenewable Energy Global Investment Promotion Meet & Expo (RE-INVEST) conducted by Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, Government of India from 15th to 17th February, 2015, more than 387 companies including 37 public sector undertakings/ government companies have submitted the Green Energy Certificate (GEC) for renewable energy power generation from various renewable energy sources i.e. solar, wind, biomass, small hydro power, etc. aggregating to more than 272 GW which include 19.22 GW by public sector undertakings/government companies. Company-wise details are annexed.
