(a): The funds allocated to my Ministry for the years 2007-08, 2008-09 and 2009-10 out the
amount collected as surcharge on petrol and High Speed diesel for implementation of different
schemes are given below:

Funds allocated to NHAI for NHDP are not allocated State-wise.However,funds for development
of State Roads are allocated State-wise on the basis of 70% weightage for petrol and diesel
consumption in the State and 30% weightage to the geographical area of the State.
(b): Funds allocated to NHAI are exclusively for development of National Highways under
NHDP. Amount of CRF released to NHAI alongwith other Budgetary Resources as well as borrowed
funds taken together are utilized for various pre-construction and construction related
expenditure. No end use based accounts for a particular receipt of funds are maintained.
Expenditure on new construction, repair works and repayment of loan is however, made
project-wise by NHAI.
State-wise and Year-wise information regarding funds allocated under CRF to States and UTs
for development of State roads and centrally sponsored roads of EI and ISC, during the years
2007-08, 2008-09 and 2009-2010 are given in Annexure-I and Annexure-II respectively.
(c) & (d): Yes, Sir. However, State-wise allocation of CRF is done by my Ministry within
the overall Budgetary provisions under this Head.
