a. the names of the States where boxing trials were held during the last three years and the names of the boxers who were given opportunity to participate in these trials;
b. whether any complaints have been received regarding not sending the international/national boxing champions for boxing trials or competition; and
c. if so, the details thereof along with the reasons therefor?

(a) Selection trials in the sports of Boxing for international events falls in the domain of Boxing Federation of India (BFI). Government does not interfere in the selection process. As per BFI athletes are selected based on their fitness level and performance at the relevant point of time by selection committee headed by BFI President having members of nationally reputed Arjuna Awardees.
(b) & (c) As per records four grievances were received in this Ministry in the months of June and July 2018 in connection with the selection process of boxers for participation in the Asian Games, 2018, held in Indonesia. Government does not interfere in the selection process. Hence, the grievances were forwarded to BFI for appropriate action.
