(a) and (b): The Department of Fisheries, Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying is implementing a flagship scheme namely “Pradhan Mantri Matsya Sampada Yojana (PMMSY) - to bring about Blue Revolution through sustainable and responsible development of fisheries sector in India” with an estimated investment of Rs. 20,050 crore for a period of 5 years with effect from the from financial year 2020-21 to financial year 2024-25 in all States/Union Territories including Madhya Pradesh as a part of Aatma Nirbhar Bharat Package. Besides, a dedicated fund namely, ‘Fisheries and Aquaculture Infrastructure Development Fund’ (FIDF) with a total fund size of Rs.7,522.48 crore has been set up for providing concessional finance for creation and strengthening of fisheries infrastructure facilities. These schemes implemented in all the States/UTs including Madhya Pradesh inter-alia aiming towards enhancement of fish production, productivity, income of fish farmers, generation of employment opportunities in fisheries and aquaculture.
(c) to (e): The Pradhan Mantri Matsya Sampada Yojana (PMMSY) implemented as a part of Atma Nirbhar Bharat Package inter-alia accords focus for training, awareness, exposure and capacity building for fishers, fish farmers, fish workers, vendors and other stakeholders. During the financial year 2020-21, due to the COVID-19 pandemic condition, awareness programmes, trainings, publicity initiatives and outreach programmes and other related programme were conducted in the virtual mode covering 7.40 lakh participants through 1016 programmes. State/UT-wise details of central funds release are furnished at Annexure-I.
