(a) the details of plan and target of the Government for completion of east-west corridor;
(b) the proposals of the Government to check fatality on National Highways thereof; and
(c) the development status of the present highway projects of eastern and North Eastern States therein?

(a) The details of start date, completion date and present status of projects under East West Corridor is enclosed as Annexure-I.
(b) The Government is taking the following steps to check fatality on NHs :
(i) Safety audits of National Highway Development Projects are being done through independent road safety consultant during design, construction and operation stages and any deficiencies thereof are being rectified.
(ii) Road safety awareness programs are being conducted every year for educating the road users.
(iii) Identification of black spots and short and long term remedial measures are being taken to rectify the same.
(c) Details of projects in Eastern and North Eastern States with present status are enclosed as Annexure II.
