MINISTER OF STATE IN THE MINISTRY OF TRIBAL AFFAIRS (DR. TUSHAR A. CHAUDHARY)

(a), (b) &(c): As per information received from the Ministry of Environment & Forests (MoEF), there are 893 forest villages in the Madhya Pradesh. Under the programme of development of forest villages, the State Government submitted proposals for 867 forest villages and Ministry has released Rs 25994.57 lakh so far. State Government had also submitted a proposal for 28 villages located in the protected areas (National Parks & Sanctuaries); and since these villages are not forest villages identified by MoEF, the proposal was not considered for funding under the programme.
