(a) the quantum of natural gas being allocated to the Jharkhand State and
the details of industries benefited by it;
(b) whether the Government are contemplating to increase the allocation of
natural gas to ensure promotion of natural gas based industries in the
State; and
(c) if so, the details thereof?

(a) to (c) Presently, there is no allocation of natural gas to consumers in
the State of Jharkhand. However, Gas Authority of India Limited is in the
process of signing a Gas Cooperation Agreement with the Government of
Jharkhand for undertaking a systematic techno-economic feasibility study for
meeting the demand of natural gas of the consumers in the State.
