Question : EVALUATION OF THREE DEVELOPMENT BOARDS

ased to refer to the reply given to Unstarred Question No. 4332 on 17th December, 2002 regarding Separate Board for Maharashtra and state;

(a) whether the Programme Evaluation Organization in the Planning Commission has been evaluating the data obtained on the working of three existing Development Boards in Maharashtra for drafting and finalising the report on the performance of the Development Boards;

(b) if so, the details thereof; and

(c) the time by which this exercise is likely to be completed?

(a) & (b): The Programme Evaluation Organization of the Planning Commission had undertaken a performance evaluation study based on the data obtained on the working of the three existing Development Boards in Maharashtra and have submitted their evaluation report to the Government recently.
