Out of 247 recommendations of Sarkaria Commission, the Inter-State Council in its seven meetings held so far, has taken decisions on 230 recommendations. Out of the 230 recommendations on which the Inter-State Council has taken a view, 147 have been implemented, 51 have not been found acceptable for implementation, and the remaining 32 are at different stages of implementation in various Ministries/Departments concerned.
