Question : PREPAREDNESS TO TACKLE EMERGENCIES



(a) whether the Government has received any complaints regarding non-availability of the relief equipments/ measures to be adopted after bomb attacks in public places, including stretchers, first-aid kits etc.,

(b) if so, the details thereof and reaction of the Government thereto;

(c) whether all the police stations are equipped with suitable equipments and personnel to tackle such situations;

(d) if so, the details thereof and if not, the reasons therefor; and

(e) the action taken by the Government to ensure that in the event of terror attacks, suitable equipments are made available to the victims and relief workers?

(a) to (e) : No specific complaints in this regard have been received by the Government. Appropriate measures are taken by the State Government and the local administrative authorities concerned for evacuation of, and provision of medical assistance, etc., to the affected persons, whenever such incidents occur. Wherever necessary, assistance can be sought by the concerned authorities from various other agencies/Organizations, including the National Disaster Management Authority/National Disaster Response Force, the Army, etc.
