Question : Training and Employment to NE of NER Youth

(a) whether his Ministry in collaboration with the Construction Industry Development Council (CIDC) has taken the responsibility to provide training and employment to unemployed youth of the North Eastern States;
(b) if so, the number of youths who have been provided training by CIDC and the youths provided employment during the last two years and the current year;
(c) the various trade under which they have been given training ; and
(d) the amount of funds allocated and spent, year-wise and trade-wise?

(a) to (d) Construction Industry Development Council (CIDC) executed training programmes sponsored by the Ministry of DoNER under the Capacity Building and Technical Assistance Scheme for training of unemployed youth of North Eastern states during 2010-13. CIDC have neither applied nor been sanctioned any training programme during the last two years and in current year.
