(a) & (b): The Government is implementing Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Grameen Kaushalya Yojana (DDU-GKY), a placement linked skill development program for rural poor youth under National Rural Livelihoods Mission (NRLM) all over the country. Under DDU-GKY a special initiative called Roshni has been launched that takes into account the peculiar situations in left wing extremist affected 27 districts. Under this initiative skill development shall be mandatory residential course with 40% coverage to women candidates. Roshni is oriented towards addressing the infrastructure, education, and health deficiencies in these areas, and leveraging the availability of natural resources and traditional skills and knowledge. A special scheme Himayat has been launched for Jammu and Kashmir under DDU-GKY. This is a 100% centrally funded scheme. In addition to areas covered under Roshni and Himayat, trainings under DDU-GKY are provided in other affected areas.
(c): The Empowered Committee in MoRD has approved the Action Plans of the States/UTs consisting of number of candidates targeted to be trained for implementing DDU-GKY during the year 2019-22. State-wise targets under DDU-GKY for the year 2019-22 are as follows:-

(d) & (e): Every candidate undergoing training under DDU-GKY is given mandatory basic training in Information Technology for 80 Hours. During the year 2019-20 (up-to 31st December, 2019), 1,74,786 candidates have been provided training.
