Question : Central Government Residential Complexes in NDMC Area

(a) whether the Government/NDMC has received complaints from RWAs or taken suo-moto cognizance regarding damaged/broken main gates of various Government colonies including BKS Marg Phase-II located in NDMC area which is also a serious threat to security;

(b) if so, the reaction of the Government thereto and the action taken thereon;

(c) whether the Government proposes regular inspection of the said colonies to enhance basic amenities and beautification of Central Government residential complexes which are under the jurisdiction of NDMC;

(d) if so, the details thereof and if not, the reasons therefor; and

(e) the other measures being taken by the Government to enhance the facilities including beautification of parks, roads, complexes etc. in Government residential colonies including BKS Marg Phase-II under the jurisdiction of NDMC?

(a) & (b): Some complaints/suggestions have been received by NDMC from RWAs about damaged/broken gates of some Government colonies, including BKS Marg, Phase-II. NDMC is also suo motu aware about the need to repair these gates. The tender for the work has been awarded.

(c) to (e): NDMC officials regularly conduct field inspections and interact with RWAs and general public. The requirement of civic amenities/facilities is assessed based on findings of these interactions and inspections. Suggestions of RWAs/general public are also duly considered for provision of civic amenities like water, sewer, roads, footpath, repair of gates and civil work in parks, playing equipment/open gyms, etc.
