Question : Hospitals for Differently Abled Persons

Will the Minister of HEALTH AND FAMILY WELFARE be pleased to state:

(a) whether the Government has formulated/proposed to formulate any plan to start special hospitals for differently abled persons;

(b) if so, the details thereof along with the time by which the said hospitals are likely to be set up; and

(c) if not, the reasons therefor?

(a) to (c): Health is a State subject and it is the responsibility of the State Governments to provide necessary healthcare facilities to the people of the State including differently able persons. The Ministry of Health and Family has no such proposal under consideration at present.
