(a) whether the Government propose to provide assistance/loan under Accelerated Irrigation Benefit Programmes (AIBP) for implementation of lift irrigation schemes/small dams in Maharashtra;
(b) if so, the details thereof;
(c) whether any representation has been received from
Ahmednagar District under AIBP; and
(d) if so, the steps taken/proposed to be taken for the
provision of assistance?

(a) & (b) Central Loan Assistance under Accelerated
Irrigation Benefits Programme for minor irrigation schemes
(small dams & lift schemes) is released only to special
category States (North East States, Sikkim, Himachal
Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir and KBK Districts of Orissa).
Maharashtra, being a non special category State, is not
eligible for assistance under AIBP for this category of
schemes.
(c) No, Sir.
(d) Central Loan Assistance amounting to Rs.8.92 crore
under Accelerated Irrigation Benefits Programme was made
available to Jayakwadi Project which benefits Ahmednagar
District also.
