(a) whether the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA) has outlined its global roadmap for a renewable energy in future;
(b) if so, the details thereof;
(c) whether the Government proposes to consider the roadmap; and
(d) if so, the details thereof and if not, the reasons therefor?

(a)&(b): The International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA) has prepared a Renewable Energy Roadmap (REmap) 2030 in June, 2014. REmap 2030 indicates a pathway for doubling the share of sustainable renewable energy in the world’s total final energy consumption.
(c)&(d): The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) had taken note of the RE map 2030 report. MNRE had already drawn up plans for enhancing the share of renewable energy and set a target of 175 GW of renewable power by 2022.
