(a) & (b): Sir, Government is already providing grants for research work in basic and applied research in all fields of Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, Medicine and interdisciplinary areas with a focus on generating new knowledge or potential for translational research. Ministry of Science and Technology has given special attention to align this research work with national agenda of the Government towards Make in India, Startup India, Digital India, Swachh Bharat, Swasth Bharat, etc. The grant for research work is provided primarily in the form of R&D projects, research fellowships, Start-up research, S&T infrastructural fund etc. to individual or group of scientists and various institutions / agencies across the country.
