(a) whether the Government have fixed any target to increase the additional
power capacity in U.P.;
(b) if so, the details thereof;
(c) the capacity of power generation added so far in U.P. against the said
target; and
(d) the achievements made so far in this regard?

(a) to (d) : The Planning Commission had fixed a target of 1705 MW for capacity
addition during Ninth Plan in U.P. of which, a capacity addition of about 1705 MW is
likely as per details given below:-
