(a) to (c): The Govt. of NCT of Delhi(GNCTD) has informed that the North, East and South Delhi Municipal Corporations maintain the right of way of roads less than 60 feet under their jurisdiction. The action for removal of any type of encroachment, if required within the right of way of the road, is taken from time to time at zonal level with the assistance of local police.

L.S.US.Q.NO.2764 FOR 15.3.2016
The New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) has informed that their Enforcement Department removes unauthorised encroachments, if any, on the road sides/footpaths in the NDMC area on day to day basis. During a recent drive, the enforcement team has removed encroachments in Connaught Place, Janpath, Palika Bazar area etc.
Delhi Development Authority (DDA) has informed that there is temporary encroachment only on urban extension road-1 from NH-01 to Western Yamuna Canal under the jurisdiction of the DDA. Quick Response Team (QRT) has been constituted in the DDA to deal with the encroachment. The temporary encroachers in the nature of vendors have been removed by the QRT with the help of police.
The GNCTD has informed that Task Force to remove encroachments have been constituted, headed by the Deputy Commissioner (Revenue) of each district.

The Delhi Police has informed that legal action is taken against the encroachers in Delhi under Section 83/97, 100 of Delhi Police(DP) Act and Section 283 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). The details of action taken by Delhi Police against the encroachers since 2013 are as under:
