Question : EXPORT OF CASH CROPS



(a) whether the Government has taken steps to provide assistance to farmers in the export of cash crops;

(b) if so, the details thereof; and

(c) the quantum and value of cash crop produces exported during the last three years?

(a) to (b): Yes Madam, the Government of India is taking various measures to boost export of cash crops namely tea, coffee, rubber, spices, tabacco and cashew which includes providing financial and technical assistance to the growers and other stake holders, for participation in trade fairs, exhibitions, buyer-sellers meets, brand promotion, public relation campaign through Plan Schemes, etc.
