Question : Tourism related Works under PRASHAD Scheme

(a) whether the Government has taken up any work in the State of Andhra Pradesh to be implemented under PRASHAD Scheme and if so, the details thereof;
(b) whether the popular pilgrimage places like, Tirupati, Antarvadi, Annavaram, temples in East Godavari District and Simhachalam Temple in Visakhapatnam and in Arasavalli Temple in Srikakulam district of Andhra Pradesh have been included under PRASHAD Scheme and if so, the details thereof along with the funds sanctioned and allotted for each temple;
(c) the amount of funds sanctioned and utilised for the integrated development on priority basis of pilgrimage places of various States including Chhattishgarh under ‘PRASHAD’ Scheme;
(d) whether the Government has selected famous religious sites/pilgrimage places of Chhattishgarh for their development under the said Scheme; and
(e) if so, the details thereof and if not, the reasons therefor along with the reaction of the Government thereto?

(a) and (b): The detail of the projects undertaken by Ministry of Tourism for implementation in the state of Andhra Pradesh under PRASHAD Scheme is given below:
i. Development of Amaravati Town, Guntur District as a Tourist Destination sanctioned in the year 2015-16 with the cost of Rs. 28.36 crore and an amount of Rs. 22.69 crore has been released till date.
ii. Development of Srisailam Tample, Kurnool District in the year 2017-18 with the cost of Rs. 47.45 crore and an amount of Rs. 22.75 crore has been released till date.

(c) to (e): Since it’s inception in the year 2014-15, 28 sites/destinations in 21 states have been selected for infrastructure development under PRASHAD and total 24 projects have been sanctioned in 16 states with the approved cost of Rs.727.16 crore and an amount of Rs.270.24 crore has been released for these projects till date. Maa Bamleshwari Devi Temple of Dongargarh, Rajnandgaon District of Chhattisgarh State is one of the above 28 selected sites. Proposal from Chhattisgarh State Government is awaited.
