Question : MARKETING SUPPORT TO MADHYA PRADESH



(a) Whether the Government has recently received proposals from the Government of Madhya Pradesh for providing marketing support to Madhya Pradesh Handicraft and Handloom Corporation and Madhya Pradesh Silk Federation respectively under Dindayal Hathkargha Yojana separately;

(b) if so, the details thereof; and

(c) the action being taken thereon?

MINISTER OF STATE IN THE MINISTRY OF TEXTILES (SHRI E.V.K.S. ELANGOVAN)

(a) : The Government of India had received proposals under Marketing Incentive component of Deen Dayal Hathkargha Protsahan Yojana (DDHPY) in respect of M. P. State Sericulture Development & Trading Cooperative Federation Ltd. only for the year 2005-06 amounting to Rs.79,008/-.

(b) & (c) : The Marketing Incentive proposal under DDHPY in respect of M. P. State Sericulture Development & Trading Cooperative Federation Ltd. could not be considered for want of Utilisation Certificates from the State Government in respect of central share released earlier to the handloom organisation for Rs.70,51,770/-, which included utilization certificates in respect of the Silk Federation for Rs.1,41,230/-. The State Government, vide this office letter No.15/15/DCH/DDHPY/MP/M&E/2001 dated 24.5.2006, had been requested to furnish the requisite Utilisation Certificate, which is yet to be received.
