(a) whether the Government has accepted the recommendations of the Justice G.R. Majithia Wage Board report for the journalists and other employees
of the newspapers/news agencies;
(b) if so, the details thereof; and
(c) the steps being taken by the Government for its early implementation?

(a)to(c): The Government accepted the recommendations as contained in Chapters XIX and XX of the Wage Board Report, and notified the Wage
Boards Awards on 11.11.2011 under Section 12(1) of The Working Journalists & Other Newspaper Employees (Conditions of Service) & Miscellaneous
Provisions Act, 1955. The details of the recommendations as accepted by the Government are available at www.labour.nic.in. A copy of the notification
has already been sent to employers’ associations, employees unions, State Governments and Union Territories for early implementation.
