(a) the time by when demand of a new train running between Somnath to Mumbai as superfast
is likely to be materialized;
(b) whether any representation in this regard has been made;
(c) if so, the details thereof;
(d) whether a demand for the extension of Navjivan Express up to Rajkot is examined and the
decision taken; and
(e) if not, the reasons therefor?

(b) & (c) Yes, Sir. Representations, including from Hon?ble Member of Parliament, Shri Jashubhai
D. Barad, have been received in this regard.
(d) Yes, Sir.
(e) Extension of 2655/2656 Chennai-Ahmedabad Navjeevan Express upto Rajkot has not been found
feasible due to operational and resource constraints.
