(a) whether certain countries of Middle East have agreed to increase supply of liquefied natural gas to meet India’s requirements and also facilitate participation of Indian companies in the oil and gas sector;

(b) if so, the details thereof; and

(c) the present status thereof?

(a) to (c): Indian companies, namely, GAIL (India) Ltd. and Petronet LNG Ltd. (PLL) have been in discussion with RasGas, Qatar for additional supply of LNG. However, no agreement has yet been reached.
