Question : Road Over Bridges

(a) whether the Government has conducted any feasibility with regard to the new Road Over Bridge (ROB) projects in the country;

(b) if so, the details of the ROB projects started during the last three years, State-wise;

(c) whether the Government has taken various steps to collect funds for the completion of certain ROB projects which are lying unfinished/pending due to shortage of funds;

(d) if so, the details thereof along with the details of such pending projects, Statewise; and

(e) the total expenditure incurred on the ROB projects on the National Highways of the country during the last three years?

(a) to (e) Yes Madam. Ministry has identified 208 level crossings for construction of Road over Bridges (ROB) and feasibility study for ROBs has been undertaken by the Ministry through the budgetary support. No project is lying unfinished/pending due to shortage of funds. The projects are in initial phase of sanction and award and no major expenditure incurred on such projects.
