Question : INCEASE IN QUOTA OF HAJ PILGRIMS



(a) whether the Government have been increasing the quota of Haj Pilgrims every year;

(b) if so, details thereof during each of the last five years; and

(c) the number of aircraft chartered by the Government for the Haj Pilgrims for the year 2000 and the number of Pilgrims likely to be accommodated therein?

(a) and (b) : Yes, Sir. The Haj pilgrims quota fixed by the Government and actual number of pilgrims transported during the last five years are as under:-
