(a) the details of the foreign companies who have made investments in the Information Technology Sector; and
(b) the details of the proposals approved by the Government during the last three years alongwith the sectors where such investments are likely to be made by the Government?

(a) and (b): A total of 1799 FDI proposals in electrical equipment sector (which also includes IT sector) to the tune of Rs.4191.52 crores were approved during the last three years. The details of proposals approved are published in the monthly newsletter brought out by Department of Industrial Policy & Promotion, which is widely circulated to various establishments, including the Parliament Library. The information is also posted in Secretariat of Industrial Approvals (SIA) website (http://www.nic.in/indmin).
