(a) whether the Government has any plan regarding transferring the set up of Doordarshan Kendras across the country that are presently not broadcasting anything to the Akashvani Kendra located therein, in the event of their closure;
(b) if so, the details thereof;
(c) if not, the reasons therefor; and
(d) the future plan for effective broadcasting by filling the staff vacancy at every All India Radio Centre in the event of the said transfer?

(a) to (c): Prasar Bharati has informed that consequent upon the rationalization of Doordarshan Analog Terrestrial Transmitters, a decision has been taken to hand over closed television transmitter/transposer set ups to co-located to All India Radio set ups.
(d): Additional staff available on closure of some DD set ups pursuant to rationalization have been posted at the vacant positions in AIR Stations as per requirement for effective broadcasting.
