(a) whether the Government has any proposal for reservation of Scheduled
Castes/Scheduled Tribes in Private Universities;
(b) if so, the details thereof; and
(c) if not, whether the Government is planning on formulating the representation policy
in this regard?

(a) to (c): State Private Universities are established by the Act of their respective State
Legislatures. The reservations policies in these Universities are regulated as per the
provisions mentioned in the Act.
As regards private Deemed to be Universities, at present, there is no such
proposal under consideration of the Government.
