Question : ROBs on Pune-Miraj Railway Line

(a) whether the Government is aware that the work of Railway Over Bridges (RoBs) at Rahimatpur L.C gate no. 81 and Masur L.C gate No. 92 on Pune-Miraj Railway line in Satara district of Maharashtra, are proceeding at a very slow pace and causing heavy traffic congestion and if so, the details thereof;
(b) the reasons for delay in completion of this work; and
(c) the measures taken by the Government to speed up the work and the likely date of completion of both the RoBs?

(a) to (c): The work at level crossing (LC) No. 81 at Km. 166/4-5 at Rahimatpur and LC No. 92 at Km. 190/3-4 on Pune-Miraj Railway line in Satara District was sanctioned in 2016-17 on cost sharing basis. The work has been entrusted to Government of Maharashtra (GoM) for execution on single entity basis. GoM is getting the work done through Maharashtra Rail Infrastructure Development Corporation Ltd. (MRIDCL) which is a joint venture company of GoM and Railways. The works were slightly delayed due to initial setting up of the systems in MRIDCL. Now, the works have been expedited.
