(a) whether the Raoghat Project which is proposed to supply iron ore to the
Bhilai Steel Plant is lagging behind its scheduled time frame;
(b) if so, the details thereof alongwith the reasons therefor; and
(c) the steps taken by the Government to complete the said project within a
stipulated time frame?

(a) to (c): Yes, Madam. As per available information, development of the mine and
rail line for Raoghat Project of Bhilai Steel Plant is getting delayed on account
of security reasons which has in turn affected tree cutting activities. The matter
relating to a adequate security has been taken up with the Government of Chhattisgarh.
