Will the Minister of WOMEN AND CHILD DEVELOPMENT be pleased to state:

(a) whether the Government proposes the institution of an award on the lines of Stree Shakti Puraskar to recognise the contribution of women in every district in the field of women empowerment;
(b) if so, the details thereof; and
(c) the time by which such awards are likely to be instituted?

(a) to (c): Ministry of Women and Child Development has constituted the ‘Nari Shakti Puraskar’, which is a National Award for recognizing exceptional work done by individuals and institutions in the area of empowerment of women across the country.
