(a) to (d) The details of the schemes/components implemented by Department of Animal Husbandry and Dairying for providing subsidy to promote milk production in rural areas are as under:
(i) Establishment of Breed Multiplication Farm: under the component 50% of capital subsidy is available to interested entrepreneurs; (ii) Accelerated Breed Improvement Programme using IVF Technology: under the component subsidy @ Rs 5000 per assured pregnancy is available for interested farmers and (iii) Accelerated Breed Improvement Programme using sex sorted semen: under the component subsidy @ Rs 750 per assured pregnancy is available for farmers.
(ii) Support to State Dairy Cooperative & Farmers Producers Organization (SDCFPO): under the scheme one time support in the form of Interest subvention on working capital loans has been introduced from the financial year 2020-21.
(iii) Dairy Processing and Infrastructure Development Fund (DIDF)- This scheme is being implemented with the objective of Creation/ strengthening of Milk Processing, Value addition & chilling facilities. Under the scheme, NABARD raises the fund from market and disburse loan to dairy cooperatives with 2.5% interest subvention through National Dairy Development Board and National Cooperative Development Corporation (NCDC) . Department of Animal Husbandry and Dairying provides 2.5% interest subvention to National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD).
(iv) Animal Husbandry Infrastructure Development Fund (AHIDF) – under the scheme 3% interest subvention is made available to the beneficiaries availing credit under AHIDF.
(v) Kissan Credit Card (KCC) - Government has extended KCC facility to Animal Husbandry farmers and Fisheries farmers for their working capital requirements wherein farmers either individual or joint borrower, Joint Liability Groups or Self Help Groups including tenant farmers having owned/rented/leased sheds are eligible for getting benefits under the scheme.
The State Government of Madhya Pradesh is implementing Acharya Vidya Sagar Gosamvardhan Yojana for establishment of dairy unit of minimum 5 animals and maximum project cost upto Rs.10.00 lakh with 25% of the project cost upto Rs.1.50 lakh for General and 33% of the project cost upto maximum of Rs.2.00 lakh for SC/ST as margin money and 5% interest subsidy maximum upto Rs.25,000/- per year on bank loan for 7 years.
The Department of Animal Husbandry and Dairying has been implementing following schemes for Development of Animal Husbandry Sector in the country:
(i) Rashtriya Gokul Mission for development and conservation of indigenous bovine breeds, genetic upgradation of bovine population and enhancement of milk production and productivity of bovines.
(ii) National Livestock Mission for entrepreneurship development and breed improvement in poultry, sheep, goats and pigs including feed and fodder development.
(iii) Livestock Health and Disease Control Programme for (a) control and eradication of Pestis-des Petits Ruminants (PPR), Classical Swine Fever and control of other livestock and poultry diseases; (b) establishment and strengthening of Veterinary Hospitals and Dispensaries including Mobile Veterinary Units
(iv) National Animal Disease Control Programme for control of Foot and Mouth Disease (FMD) and Beucellosis in livestock.
(v) National Programme for Dairy Development for creating/ strengthening of infrastructure for Production of quality milk, Procurement, Processing and Marketing of Milk & Milk Products.
