Answer given by the minister

MINISTER OF STATE FOR RURAL DEVELOPMENT
(SHRI SUDARSHAN BHAGAT)

(a) Land and its management lies exclusively within the legislative and administrative jurisdiction of the States as provided in Entry No. 18 of List II (State List) of the Seventh Schedule to the Constitution. A central and systemic record of land acquired in different states is not maintained by the Central Government.

(b) to (d): Section 107 of the Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013 gives powers to State Legislatures to enact any law more beneficial to the effected families. Accordingly, there is no need to send any proposal relating to increase in rate of compensation to the Union Government, nor has any been received.
