Question : Documentary on History of Yoga

Will the Minister of AYURVEDA,YOGA AND NATUROPATHY, UNANI,SIDDHA AND HOMOEOPATHY (AYUSH) be pleased to state:

(a) whether the Government proposes to prepare any documentaries on Yoga and its history with a view to spread wide awareness among masses, if so, the details thereof;

(b) whether the Government has roped in any agencies/organisations to do research work in this regard, if so, the details thereof;

(c) the States in which such extensive researches are likely to be initiated along with the financial allocations made therefor; and

(d) the other steps taken by the Government to spread awareness of benefit of Yoga in Bihar?

(a) to (c): No.

(d): The other steps taken by the Government to spread awareness of Yoga in Bihar are as under:
i. The Ministry has celebrated ‘International Day of Yoga’ by organizing free Yoga camps for public and other related activities in all districts of the country through Central Council for Research in Yoga and Naturopathy. The scheme was implemented in 38 districts of Bihar in the year 2016.
ii. The Central Council for Research in Yoga and Naturopathy has recently launched a Grant-in-aid scheme to establish/ run Yoga and Naturopathy clinic /hospitals of 10, 20, 30, 40, 50 and 100 beds capacity at all India level including Bihar.
iii. The Centrally sponsored scheme, National AYUSH Mission provides financial assistance for AYUSH Wellness Centres including Yoga and Naturopathy under Flexible Pool competent to be implemented through States/UTs including Bihar.
