Will the Minister of ELECTRONICS AND INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY be pleased to state:
(a) whether the Government has any proposal to automate the change of address in all the documents linked to Aadhaar card, when request to change the address in Aadhaar card is made by the Aadhaar card holder; and
(b) if so, the details thereof and the steps taken by the Government in this regard?
(a) and (b): No, Sir. There is no such proposal. However, the Ministries and Departments of the Central Government and the State Governments and other Requesting Entities, who have seeded Aadhaar in their lists of beneficiaries (e.g. Ration Card, MNREGA Job Card etc.) may carryout Aadhaar eKYC authentication, if so allowed, with specific consent of the resident to fetch address data available in Aadhaar in conformity with the provisions of the Aadhaar Act, 2016 and the regulations framed thereunder.
