(a): Yes, Sir.
(b): The objectives of e-Kranti (NeGP 2.0) are as follows:
i. To redefine NeGP with transformational and outcome oriented e-Governance initiatives
ii. To enhance the portfolio of citizen centric services
iii.To ensure optimum usage of core Information & Communication Technologies(ICTs)
iv. To promote rapid replication and integration of e-Governance applications
v. To leverage emerging technologies
vi. To make use of more agile implementation models
(c): The approval for e-Kranti is for the principles, approach, program management structure and implementation strategy of e-Kranti as an integral part of the Digital India programme and not for any financial allocation. Each Mission Mode Project under e-Kranti (NeGP 2.0) will have its own financial outlay and approval has to be taken project wise by the respective Line Ministry/Department.
(d): The main achievements made in the domain of e-governance till date are summarized as below:
# 25 out of the 31 Mission Mode Projects (MMPs) under NeGP are live and delivering 222 out of 252 envisaged services.
# 23 State Data Centres (SDCs) have been made operational.
# State Wide Area Networks (SWANs) are operational in 34 States/ UTs.
# 1,40,712 CSCs have been made operational in 36 States/UTs.
# e-District Services have been launched in 454 (including 40 pilot) districts in all 36 States/UTs.
# 1670 Central and State Departments have been integrated for “PUSH SMS” and more than 327.62 Crore SMS notifications have been sent to the citizens for various public services.
# 404 public services have been operationalized for “PULL SMS”.
# 451 live mobile apps for various Government services have been developed & hosted on DeitY’s Mobile Appstore.
# 5 applications namely e-Pass of CGG Andhra Pradesh, XLN from NIC Gujarat, e-Hospital from NIC Tripura, Meeseva from APTS Andhra Pradesh and HRMS from NIC Himachal Pradesh have been approved by DeitY under the Rapid Replication Project.
# 26.69 crore electronic transactions for e-Governance services have been reported for the month of Mar, 2015.
# Project proposals for 33 States/UTs have been approved under State Service Delivery Gateway (SSDG) project and SSDG project has gone live in 23 States/UTs.
# “Framework for e-Authentication” under e-Pramaan project was notified by DeitY in December 2012
# 30 websites of 15 Mission Mode Projects (MMPs) have been completed for localization under the Localisation Projects Management Framework (LPMF) project
# Beta version of Digital Locker system has been released, which envisages provision of private space on a public cloud to each citizen where he/she can keep public records and can even exchange it for availing various services.
# eSign framework has been released, which would allow citizens to digitally sign a document online using Aadhaar authentication.
# Jeevan Pramaan portal has been launched. Over 1 lakh pensioners have submitted their life certificate on the portal within 4 months.
# eGreetings portal has been launched on 14.8.2014. Over 8 lakh eGreetings has been sent.
# e-Sampark database with 60 lakh email addresses and 88 lakh mobile numbers have been created. 87 e-mail campaigns have been carried out so far. Till date, over 10 crore e-mails have been sent on various occasions.
# Biometric Attendance System (BAS) has been rolled out in 500 Central Government offices in Delhi with 1.14 lakh employees. In addition, BAS has been rolled out in 1160 Central Government organizations outside Delhi involving 60,000+ employees. BAS has also been rolled out in over half a dozen States across the country.
# National Scholarship Portal has been developed as an end to end solution that includes all activities from registration to disbursement of scholarships. It is a single platform through which a student can apply for any centrally funded scheme.
# MyGov.in has been implemented as a platform for citizen engagement in governance. The citizens participate in policy and execution through a “Discuss”, “Do” and “Disseminate” approach. 25 Groups, 144 discussion themes and 145 tasks have been published. Weekly newsletters are being sent to all registered users (~7.60 lakh) of MyGov.
