(a) whether the Government are aware that in some States of the country, particularly in Gujarat the amount provided for gaushalas is being taken back;
(b) if so, the details thereof and the reasons thereof;
(c) the amount provided by the Government for gaushalas during each of the last three years and thereafter, State-wise;
(d) whether the Government propose to provide additional funds for gaushalas particularly in Jharkhand; and
(e) if so, the details thereof?

(a) No Sir. The grants in aid sanctioned under the scheme of provision of Shelter House for looking after animals in distress is not being taken back
(b) Does not arise.
(c) The funds provided during the last three years and thereafter, State - wise is appended as at Annexure.
(d) & (e) The proposals received from various organisations of different States including Jharkhand are considered for provision of assistance for construction of shelter houses. Seven Animal Welfare Organizations from Jharkhand have been recognized by Animal Welfare Board of India.
