Question : SHIFTING OF NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF ROCK MECHANICS FROM KGF



(a) the date on which the National Institute of Rock Mechanics was established in Kolar Gold Fields (KGF);

(b) the investment made thereon;

(c) whether there is any proposal to shift the above institute to Nagpur in Maharashtra;

(d) if so, the reasons therefor;

(e) the estimated cost likely to be involved therein; and

(f) the steps proposed to be taken to ensure review of the said proposal since the equipment installed at KGF are extremely sensitive ?
