Question : COVID-19 Vaccination in Odisha

Will the Minister of HEALTH AND FAMILY WELFARE be pleased to state:
(a) the salient features of the vaccine being used to combat COVID-19 within Odisha along with the quantity of vaccines provided thereof;
(b) the number of people vaccinated, State/UT-wise and district-wise;
(c) the number of districts covered so far within Odisha under this vaccination process; and
(d) the steps being taken by the Government to vaccinate people in remote/inaccessible areas under this COVID vaccination mission within Odisha?

THE MINISTER OF STATE IN THE MINISTRY OF HEALTH AND FAMILY WELFARE

(a) Three vaccines, namely Covishield manufactured by M/s Serum Institute of India, Covaxin manufactured by M/s Bharat Biotech International Limited and Sputnik V, that have been granted permission for restricted use in emergency situation by the National Regulator i.e. Drugs Controller General of India [DCG(I)] are being used under the Covid-19 vaccination programme in Odisha. As on 26th July 2021, a total of 1.55 Crore (Covishield 1.34 crore and Covaxin 21.13 Lakh doses) vaccine doses have been supplied to Odisha. In addition procurement of 4200 doses of Sputnik V stock has been declared in CoWIN portal by Private Hospitals.
(b) As on 26thJuly’21, a total of about 34.18 crore persons have received at least 1 dose of COVID-19 vaccine in the country. State/UT wise details of vaccination in the country as on 26th July is at Annexure-1;District wise coverage of Odisha as on 26th July is at Annexure-2
(c) All districts of Odisha are covered under COVID-19 vaccination drive.
(d) As per the COVID-19 Vaccines Operational Guidelines, for remote areas, sessions can be organized for lesser number of beneficiaries ensuring no vaccine wastage, provision of special mobile vaccination teams, near to home vaccination Centers can be prioritized in such areas.
