Question : SPECTRUM SHARING AND AGR



(a) whether the Government has released a consultation paper on Adjusted Gross Revenue (AGR) in the licence agreement for provision of proposed AGR of telecom and internet services;

(b) if so, the details thereof, along with the outcome therefrom;

(c) the definition of AGR in the ISP licence agreement for provision of internet services;

(d) whether the Government has allowed or proposes to allow the telecom companies to share all categories of spectrum; and

(e) if so, the details thereof and the additional revenue likely to be raised therefrom?

(d) & (e) The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) has issued Recommendations on ‘Guidelines on Spectrum Sharing’ on 21st July, 2014. These recommendations are under consideration.
